It was Em’s third public gig promoting the Number One Relapse he previously performed a hometown show in Detroit and on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Before the sight gag - after which Eminem hastily got to his feet and left, trailed by his burly bodyguards - as promised, Em took the stage to perform a medley of the two most upbeat singles from Relapse that have been released thus far: “We Made You” and “Crack a Bottle,” steering clear of the violent and disturbing serial-killer imagery of “3 A.M.” Shady looked sharp and fit as he stalked the stage, but he kept the performance simple and to the point - no marching army of lookalike Shadys were in sight, though he was accompanied by a small marching band.
